One can also imagine a second three-part sequence to plant morphology perhaps awkwardly squeezed to fit the material, informational and energy phase model, pollination being physically transformative, fruiting being merely an extension of structure, and release and planting of the seed involving the dynamism of dispersion by wind or through an animals digestion and eventually return to and planting in the soil.  Or viewed differently, a plant in its youth grows physically, then transforms its leaf and branch growth into developing flowers which in turn develop spiritually when they are polinated and make seeds, which in the reverse three-part sequence, physically are released to the environment, join with the soil and emerge as a seedling.  The applicability of the model clearly has its limitations, and plant morphology may be one of them.
