UN Population Division published a report saying 121 countries now have birth rates below what would be required to maintain population.  As global population levels off approaching 10 billion, a new self-organizing societal being is its approaching full scale and size.  From here on, the societal being will have to develop in ways other than physical expansion of population.

Foreign born population in rich countries is hitting record highs.  Homegenization of global population centers, and flattening of ethnic differences among cities around the world, will promote understanding and cooperation, and progress toward one world society.  (Economist, 060123).
